Craig Hartnett has been providing contracted consulting services in varying fields since 1992. While these services have included such industries as aviation, ground transportation, logistics, and training, they have focused on the computing industry since 1996 when Craig decided to get on the burgeoning Internet bandwagon and started WOW! M@rketing. Two years later, WOW! evolved from a Web-design and hosting firm into a newly-named company focused primarily on serving the hosting needs of a growing client base -- NinerNet Communications.With the automation and commoditisation of the hosting business since the halcyon days of the early to mid-nineties, clients can now do things through Web-based control panels that even experienced programmers had difficulty doing ten years ago. Still, NinerNet has strived to avoid treating its customers like sheep in a flock, while still working hard to give them the tools they need to accomplish their goals with minimal fuss.
Today the hosting business is dominated by the "stack 'em deep and sell 'em cheap" gang who boast millions of customers and buy the most expensive advertising imaginable. These days they even hire sexy models to sell their services -- people who couldn't tell you the difference between a pixel and a pixie.
Through all of this upheaval, NinerNet has concentrated on providing a more personal level of service to its clients. Our contracting arm serves those companies and organisations that, while appreciating having the ability to accomplish some tasks on their own, need the peace of mind that comes with knowing that the more important aspects are being looked after by professionals.
